Wiede Cutshall started Cutshall Consulting in 2004, following sixteen years of structural engineering activity, primarily on aircraft modification and repair programs.

Her prior experience includes time with NASA/Johnson Space Center, Southwest Research Institute, and the University of Texas (as a Graduate Research Assistant) where she provided analytical and experimental support to a wide variety of programs, including:

  • - aircraft flutter analyses
  • - spacecraft dynamic analyses and modal testing
  • - acoustic modeling of trains and other structures
  • - detailed finite element modeling of various components for impact analyses, static structural analyses and crack growth analyses
  • - shock, vibration and other environmental factors testing

During extended periods with Aircraft Design Services, Inc., and The Dee Howard Company, she performed structural analysis and data package review in support of aircraft certification programs.

Through Cutshall Consulting, Wiede has performed structural analysis, test planning and certification review for a wide variety of modification and repair programs on both commercial and military aircraft. She developed and taught an undergraduate aircraft structural analysis course at UT San Antonio, and has performed corporate training in structural analysis and finite element methods.

Wiede is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas, and holds FAA authorizations for 14 CFR Parts 23 and 25. Wiede is a structures unit member of the following FAA designated organizations: VT-DRB Aviation Consultants, Inc., (PATS) ALOFT AeroArchitects, Dassault Aircraft Services (Falcon Jet).
